# What do I already know about them?

## What you get

The call with Northwind is in ten minutes. You agreed something with Alice in June and you know you wrote it down. The note sits on her page, the signed scope is a PDF you uploaded, and the rest is in your mail. Ask once and YouSpot puts the three together.

It answers from your own history first. Each answer links the note, file or person it came from, so you can open it and check. When your history doesn't hold the answer, it says so instead of guessing.

## How it knows

Your contacts come from your LinkedIn archive or a contact file you import. Your notes are the ones you add on a person or company, plus Obsidian and Granola if you use them. Your files are the PDFs, scans and text files you drop into chat or add in YouSpot. It finds a note by what it says and a file by its name, then opens the file and reads it. With Gmail connected, it searches your mail as well. All of it, joined to the people it's about, is what YouSpot calls your second brain.

## Questions

### What kinds of files can it read?

PDFs, photos and scans, and text files like CSV. A PDF up to 10 MB reads in full, tables and scanned pages included. Drop one into chat and it's there to ask about from then on.

### Where do my notes come from?

Wherever you already keep them. Add a note on any person or company in YouSpot, or tell chat something to remember. Obsidian notes join through the YouSpot plugin, and Granola meeting notes join with your Granola key.

### How do I know the answer is right?

Each answer links the note, file or person it came from, so you can open it and check. If your history doesn't hold the answer, it says so rather than guessing.
